Welcome!

Having incorporated the feedback of a large number of people over a long period of time, I now believe that RPM is the premiere suite of RPG utilities, providing you with everything you need from character generation and maintenance, to adventure building, to campaign management, and finally, in-game computer assistance.

Check here often!
I'm always getting requests for further improvements to RPM, and new versions are frequently made available.

After either a full install, or partial update, you may be re-importing your old characters and NPCs/creatures. If this is the case, its generally a good idea to do a ReCalculate on your Creature List, to make sure the latest rules and features are incorporated.

If updating a current version:
Please note that you can make a copy of your current installation (by making a copy of the entire install), and then update one of the copies. This is particularly useful for those who are working on their own sources.

Full Download ( v4.5.12 on 8th Jan  2006
[Full Download] : (click to download). Simply download and unzip onto your machine. Run the exe to install the software.
If you've never downloaded RPM before, or your version is older than 4.2.0 , then this is the download you need.

Note: Do not install full versions of RolePlayingMaster on top of existing old versions. Be sure that you install into an empty directory.

Update only  ( v4.6.3 on 5th Dec  2006
[Update Download] : (click to download). This is a much smaller download. Use only if you already have v4.2.1 or greater installed. Simply download and unzip over your current RPM installation. If in doubt, backup your "db" sub-directory, or (even better) simply make a full copy of your current installation to another directory.
As always, a "ReCalculate" of your existing characters and creatures will get them updated with the latest features.

When unzipping the update, be sure that you have the following extract settings:

  • "All files" is selected, to extract everything.
  • "Overwrite existing files" is selected to make sure all files are extracted.
  • "Use folder names" is selected to make sure all files go to the correct directory.

If you're using the Core 3.0 dataset, or the Core Revised 3.5 dataset, be sure to grab the latest version from the software Library. Also, do a ReCalculate on all your creatures (PCs/NPCs/monsters).
