12.23.01
Merry Christmas!
Peace on Earth and goodwill towards men and all that! This week
there's a very special new feature: Lord
of The Rings sketches! Since I can barely contain myself from
the anticipation (the movie premieres here in Brazil on January
1st), I started doodling based on LotR pictures, and here are
the results! The style differs greatly from my standard fare,
so I'm curious to hear your thoughts on them! Peace! |
12.16.01
Getting ready for
the holidays? This week I'm putting up two character-oriented
pieces. At the Fiery Dragon Interior
Art gallery there's "The Horror", a black-and-white piece
from The Giant's Skull. And check out the Fiery
Dragon Wallpaper gallery for the first ever preview of Counter
Collection II, coming in January 2002. It's seven unique heroes
to populate your desktop! Cheers! |
12.07.01
A new gallery is
long overdue here. Check out the brand new Fiery
Dragon Interior Art gallery for two black and white scenes
straight out of "The Giant's Skull". This will showcase a different
spin on my art, which I hope you like! |
12.01.01
Making up for the
"off week", I cooked up a nice piece that rounds out the Sunless
Citadel play-aids. So head over to the Play
Aids gallery and view the Twilight Grove with its deadly inhabitants!
As usual, players, refrain from peeking and let your DMs surprise
you. |
11.18.01
After all those
monstrous updates, this week there are some of the human NPCs
from "The Giant's Skull" diplayed at the Fiery
Dragon counters gallery. Head over there and meet the paladin
lord, Sir Galen Walsh; his second-in-command, Lady Janice Winter;
and the high priest, Father Tom Kerith. |
11.10.01
The lovely girls
from "The Giant's Skull" have arrived to grace the Fiery
Dragon counters gallery. So head over there to gawk at the
loely visages of Sushnak the ogress rogue, Nugdush the ogress
fighter and the generic ogress. Pucker up and kiss the girls! |
11.03.01
Continuing the presentation
of the pre-generated Ogres from "The Giant's Skull", head over
to the Fiery Dragon counters gallery
and meet Raofalt, the ogre druid, and Scurley, the ogre rogue.
Those of you who speak portuguese can now check out my interview
at Grimório. There, I detail
how this whole art thing has come to pass, and I also detail one
of my many home made settings, the Burning Lands. Enjoy! |
10.26.01
Hellboy heralds
happy Halloween! This week, I pay a homage to one of my favorite
comic book artists, Mr. Mike Mignola, and his amazing creation,
Hellboy, in a wallpaper specially designed to celebrate Halloween!
Trick or treat your way to the Wallpaper
gallery, and enjoy the goosebumps! |
10.19.01
The invasion has
begun! Check the FDP Counter gallery
for the first two of the Ogres you can play in "The Giant's Skull":
Arldag the Mage and Cromlok the Fighter! And while you're at it,
check out Fiery Dragon's website,
where you can dowload a pdf with the stats for these monstrous
masters of mayhem! And prepare: Halloween is coming! |
10.13.01 - New Gallery!
There has been a
little re-arranging in the Fiery Dragon
gallery. It has grown into TWO galleries. You can still sample
all the usual goodies in the FDP Counter
gallery, but you now can also get cool wallpapers previewing future
Fiery Dragon products in the FDP Wallpaper
gallery. This week there's a preview of The Giant's Skull - available
now - with the back cover artwork I did for this puppy (for which
I also did interior artwork). So go and enjoy! |
10.07.01
To make up for the
small lateness of this week's update, there are pictures of SEVEN
creatures! Head over to the Fiery Dragon
gallery to meet three NPCs from the d20 adventure "Nature's Fury":
the Chieftain, Prophet and Shaman bugbears! After that, hop into
a portal to the Planescape gallery
to meet four elemental scions: the Genasi, drawn and inked by
me and colored by Paula Pozas! Cheers! |
09.29.01
This week sees the
rising of two undead at the Fiery Dragon
gallery: the Spectre and the Wight. Also, there's a new illustration
in the Planescape gallery: the Bariaur,
drawn and inked by me and colored by my better half, Paula Pozas.
Go and enjoy! |
09.22.01
A small update this
week, as two creatures skulk their way into the Fiery
Dragon gallery: the Doplleganger (in its natural shape, of
course) and the Goblin. Also, note the change in the e-mail address
in the navigation bar, reflecting my new home here at EN
World. Now, go have fun! |
09.17.01
Before we procceed
to business, let me express my sorrow over the events that took
place during the past week, and to say that my thoughts and prayers
go to those who lost their lives and to their families.
Now, we must carry on. And we do it in a very special way, as
Counter Collection 1 has (hopefully) hit your local game store
last Saturday. So, this week sees SIX new images at the Fiery
Dragon gallery: the dreadful Medusa, the malign Lich, the
incorporeal Wraith, the reptilian Kobold and a brave couple of
Halflings! Hope you all enjoy. And mark your calendars, as we
are now a month away from the release of The Giant's Skull, the
first Fiery Dragon adventure to feature my interior artwork! It's
coming in October to a game store near you! For more info, check
www.fierydragon.com |
09.08.01
Scary stuff awaits
you at the Fiery Dragon gallery, where
two new undead menaces lurk: the melancholic Ghost and the famished
Ghoul! They are the last two counters to be previewed before the
official release of Counter Collection1, which is just 7 days
away! So mark September 15th on your calendars! And you can also
order Nature's Fury, Counter Collection 1 and Giant's Skull (my
first full interior artwork product) at your local comic book
store, through Diamond's Previews catalog! Next week, the fireworks
go off! |
09.02.01
Sorry about the
delay. To make up for it, I am posting more pictures than you
can shake your eyeball at! First, head over to the Play
Aids gallery, for a fully-rendered outside view of the Sunless
Citadel itself! Then hop on to the Fiery Dragon
gallery for FOUR new pictures! That's right, we have Zombie, Orc
and both male and female Half-Orcs! Some of them are already available
at local game stores, with Fiery Dragon's Nature's Fury, and others
will be featured in Counter Collection 1, due just two weeks!
Enjoy! |
08.24.01
I'm sure you've
all noticed this slight change of URLs. Sad as I am about Mr.
Noah's departure from the public scene, I can only be grateful
to him for the opportunities he has provided me, and grateful
also to Mr. Morrissey (no, not the Smiths lead singer), for offering
me a roof. I would also like to thank the many offers I had for
hosting, you have all be very graceful. But enough of that, this
is my first update in the new home, so head over to the Fiery
Dragon gallery to check THREE new previews of counter artwork:
a Gargoyle and a Half-Elven couple. Also, drop by the Play
Aids gallery to check a piece I did for my game, that could
suit yours: kobold leader Yusdrail in her Dragon Throne! And remember
to update your bookmarks! The shortcut welcome.to/pozas
works, too! |
08.17.01
Continuing our look
at some of the artwork featured in Nature's Fury and Counter Collection
1, check the Fiery Dragon gallery for three
new counters, from the small but brave Gnomes (male and female)
to the huge and cold White Dragon! Chill out! |
08.10.01
Nature's Fury was
a smash hit at GenCon 2001, being completely sold out by Sunday!
If you were unable to get there, check your local game store and
see what the fuss is all about! And while you're at it, check
out my Fiery Dragon gallery, for new previews
of Counter Collection 1: the Mummy, and a first look at character
counters: male and female Dwarves and Elves! |
08.03.01 - Counter-down:
Week 1
This is it! This
weekend sees the release of Natureīs Fury and Counter Collection
1! And celebrating this event, I am proud to unveil FOUR creatures
from both products at the Fiery Dragon
gallery. Enjoy the Bugbear, the Ice Mephit, the Ogre (with great
fashion sense) and the Skeleton (which is anatomy-compliant)!
And those of you going to GenCon, remember to stop by the Fiery
Dragon booth and say hi to those fine folks (and get your copies
of NF and CC1). |
07.28.01 - Counter-down:
Week 2
Natural enemies,
gnolls and minotaurs agree on one thing: itīs time for them to
fight in the Fiery Dragon gallery. Itīs
only one more week before GenCon 2001! On another news, visit
the Links I Like page, and check out
a new site with brand-new illustrations by me: Barsoom, a swashbuckilng
campaign world! Next week, a HUGE update to close the Counter-down! |
07.20.01 - Counter-down:
Week 3
They just keep on
coming! Keep checking the Fiery Dragon
gallery for the exclusive preview of Counter Collection 1: The
Usual Suspects. And be sure to check out the redesigned "About
Me" area, and check the Links I Like
page. Next week, things get ugly! |
07.15.01 - Counter-down:
Week 4
GenCon 2001 in one
month away, and so is the release of my first products through
Fiery Dragon Productions. Celebrating that, I created the new
Fiery Dragon gallery. This week, there
are three new images from Counter Collection I: hobgoblin, troll
and red dragon! Be here on Friday for Week 3 of the Counter-down! |
07.06.01
"Touched by an angel"
just got a lot more serious. The scions of celestials can be found
in the plane planewalkers across the multiverse know as the Planescape
gallery! Thatīs right, the aasimar are here! And if you havenīt
already, head over to the Fiery
Dragon Productions website, and check the Products page, where
you can find the cover I did for the upcoming adventure "Beyond
All Reason", by James Bell. And brace yourselves, for next week
the Counter-down begins! |
06.29.01
The site has just
gotten a lot more lawful. Thatīs right, the cubest natives of
Mechanus are back! Hop onto a portal to the Planescape
gallery and check the brand new Modron! |
06.22.01
Spooky stuff awaits
at the Wallpapers gallery. Like a bat
outta hell, there's a smokin' piece featuring a fiend so evil,
his hand is scary enough! |
06.15.01
It's yet another
new feature! Find your way to the Play
Aids gallery, for the occasional visual aid to spice up your
game. This week, I offer Balsag The Hunter, straight out of the
Sunless Citadel adventure from
Wizards of the Coast. Just keep your players out! |
06.08.01
Sorry for the half-update,
but it's been kinda hectic around here! But this week we have
the first new addition to a Core gallery in months! Expand your
mind with this psionic prize! Psychoport yourself to the Core
Classes gallery to check out the Psion, straight out of the
Psionics Handbook! |
06.01.01
Half-elves have
precious few unique options for them. Most of the time, they're
forced to take either elven or human roles. But no more! Check
out the Oddballs gallery for two roles
uniquely half-elven: The Prodigal, a half-elf raised by humans
that nevertheless heard the call from the elven god Corellon,
and the Grave-Stalker, a rogue that uses his stealth and half-elven
abilities to keep the cemetaries in human lands free from undead.
Add to this mix the Archer, a half-elf whose low-light eyes and
keen senses make her a perfect addition to a human garrison, and
justice has finally come to the scions of humans and elves! |
05.25.01 - Special
Feature
I have a special
treat for you this week. Since I've been getting so many questions,
I decided to put up a Special Feature
for you, showing how I make these picture, from pencil to inking,
to coloring, to shading. I hope you enjoy. And if you haven't
already, check out Fiery Dragon Productions' website.
Under the Products link, you can check out the cover of Counter
Collection I, by yours truly! See you in seven! |
05.18.01
I'm extremely pleased
to announce that I'm doing some illustrations for Fiery
Dragon Productions, a great d20 publisher! So soon you can
see my artwork in a game store near you! But that doesn't mean
I'm leaving the site gather dust. In fact, hop to the Oddballs
gallery for a very brazilian take on the human monk, the martial
dance style known as Capoeira! And for my first undead, crawl
to the Monsters gallery for the
marrow-sucking Ghoul! Yuck! |
05.11.01
And now, for something
totally different... Click you way to the Oddballs
gallery for my very first human oddballs, where the core classes
get new twists. First off, we have the Gladiator, a fighter-entertainer,
and the Swashbuckler, a sophisticated urban rogue. And this is
just the tip of the oddberg! Stay tuned! |
05.04.01
This week we have
a couple of new (and very opposite) girls gracing the Oddballs
gallery: the Scout, an elven rogue; and the Mountain Tender, a
dwarf druid, with her bighorn pet. Hope you like it! And thanks
to all of you who helped my page burst through the 7000 hits in
less than a week! Yowza! |
04.27.01 - Welcome!
Welcome one and
all to my new home, here with Eric
Noah and the fine folks at RPGPlanet.com! You can count on
the same commitment to quality and regularity you've all come
to know! But enough of the chit-chat! Head to the Oddballs
gallery for two elven heroes: Freed, a former-slave-turned-monk;
and the Skyrider, a high and mighty paladin! And to complete elven
goodness, my favorite piece so far: the Shaman wallpaper, at the
Wallpapers gallery! Y'all come back
again, y'hear? |
