The Latest Updates to this Site

October 28 - The latest Chapter in the Ingaran Adventures #43 - Finding the Temple is ready!  Still without the leadership of Alexander, Phaidon takes charge and goes forward with the investigation and finds the Demon God Temple, while Anathek Dar decides to insult and offend the Graven Ones even further - resulting in a curse he did not anticipate.
Also, the first part of the Saturday adventure, Koolies in Coppertown, has been written by Bob Probst, the DM of that game.  Due to the extreme length (we played from 1pm until 4 am), the adventure will be brought to you in parts.  This game doesn't occur in Inzeladun, but in Bob's campaign world.  We had quite a blast.  I played a crossbow-wielding wizard, who was quite good, surprisingly.  Anyway, the players included myself, Donald, Chris Bradley, Mark van Dyk, Barbara, Dawn, Allen, and Roxie.

October 26 -The Inzeladun Campaign Sourcebook has been converted to PDF by Mr. Pekar.  Now, even Mark can read it!

October 24 - Updated Zografos, Lord Domnhall, Slayer of Mind Flayers.
Also, I have added the latest chapter in the Ingaran Adventures, #42 -The Sigil Hearth.  Without Alexander's leadership, can the rest of them uncover the clues to figure out what is going on in Talishar, or has the darkness infected them as well, turning the heroes into killers?
Issic landed next to the woman and swung his thundering human bane mace of mighty cleaving repeatedly.  She put up her arms and the red wand to defend herself from the brutal beating, but Issic was unrelenting.  She tried to scream that she hadn't killed anyone, begged the half-dragon not to kill her, but the mace screamed for her blood and so Issic continued to bash her with the horrible weapon, knocking her down to her knees, breaking her bones.  She stopped laughing when her arm broke under the savage attack.  Issic smashed her hips in with a back-handed swing, and she fell to her side, one hand held out to stop the blows.  Issic growled and brought the mace down on that upraised hand, splintering hand and arm, knocking it aside. Through bloodied lips she tried to apologize, begged for mercy, she hadn't killed anyone, just made them bathe in mud, even kept her summoned beasts on her side of the wall.  Unforgiving, Issic lifted up the mighty mace and crashed it down square on her pretty skull, caving it in, reveling in the resulting splash of blood, brains and bits of bone.  Issic roared in victory as thunder rolled.  At her death, the wall of fire vanished, and the chains of fire that wrapped around the two men puffed out of existence.
When the wall of fire went down, Xorkilanthat saw the battle with the fiendish boars and the grey render.  He ran and jumped, using the heads of the men and women bathing in the mud as stepping stones.  He knocked three unconscious, and broke one woman's neck as he jumped from head to head.  Finally on the other side, Xorkilanthat attacked one of the fiendish boars with his heavy Drychtnothian war-blade.

October 23 - The latest chapter in Zografos' fight against the mind flayers is now online.  Written by Donald and myself (although Donald did the bulk of it), here is an excerpt:
Zografos rushed into the flayers, brandishing his rapier and dagger in a sphere of steel.  His shadow followed suit as both attacked the first armored freak simultaneously.  The mind flayer was a skilled fighter, parrying some of Zografos' most clever strikes, his most skilled thrusts.  The pale eyes seemed to read Zografos' moves before he even decided on them.  The crystal sword moved easily into the path of Zografos' lightning fast blades.  Sparks lit up as crystal and steel met, the blows ringing out like the tinkling of steel wind chimes in a storm.  Despite the skill the mind flayer displayed, Zografos still nicked and bloodied his foe with a thousand little cuts, yet the mind flayer could not pass Zografos' defense.

Also, I have put a preview version of my Inzeladun Campaign Sourcebook online for download.  Keep in mind it is unfinished, and several sections are missing, but I would appreciate some feedback on what IS there.  Drop a line on the message board or send an email.

October 22 - The complete and finished write-up for Saturday's game is done! In Clock of Time II: Grindill Unchained, Roland, Ammrah, Xalandra, Gaspar, Phoebe, and Joriku enter into Grindill's dreams.  (The adventure utilizes rules found in Atlas Games' Occult Lore)
Out stepped a huge shadow of manlike shape with monstrous bat wings.  Power and terror were in it and went before it.  Flames roared up around it and wreathed it with fire, and black smoke swirled into the air around it.  In one hand it held a blade that burned with fire, and in the other it held a burning whip.  It was a balor demon, Gaspar realized as the whip wrapped around him.
Gaspar was pulled into the horrific flames.  Ammrah and Phoebe poured their spells into it, but seemingly to no avail.  It had power over magic, and would not be trifled with mere mortal magic.  Roland attacked with his mind blade, and Xalandra pounded at it with her crystal halberd.  Its flaming sword swung about them, filling their limbs with fire when it struck against them, desperately parrying the blade that quested for their souls.
The battle was intense, and swiftly decided.  The might of the six dream-walkers proved to much for Grindill's final guardian over his superego, and the balor demon was banished from the dream, slain by the six.
Inside the room was an iron door.  It was locked, but one of Roland's keys opened it easily.  The click echoed loudly in the room, and the door squealed with long years of disuse as Gaspar and Joriku pulled it open.  There, on the floor, dressed in rags, lay Grindill, wrapped in chains.

October 19 - The next volume of the Illithid Hunter adventures starring Zografos is available.  Zografos and the Drow begin their attack on a mind flayer city deep underground.
After looking at Atlas' Games' Occult Lore, I have decided it shall be "official" for Inzeladun, particularly concerning its rules on Oneiromancy (dream magic), geomancy, magical imagination, and sympathetic magic. A pretty good review of the book can be found here.
Added the next chapter of the Odhirran Campaign.  Zethar the Druid concludes his exploration of the Wizard's Keep.

October 16 - The next chapter in the Ingaran Adventures is now available.  Episode 41 - "Confronting Drabat Finch", the party nails the suspected murderer in the little town of Talishar.
In far off Alisander, Ordiss Ool had received the information he wanted on Issic.  He pondered the move he must make against the half-dragon.  The half-dragon had physically touched him.  He had to make a move against Issic, or his people would not think him fit to lead.  He had lost face.  But killing Issic would bring about the unwanted attention of some very powerful people.  He had to be sly.  Looking over the information, he had no idea where Ortenau or Anhartz Castle lay, but he had heard of the Dinringer family.  Aaron and Amyrella, his information gatherers, believed Issic would eventually return to these lands.  Perhaps an ambush could be set there.  Or should he proceed to Talishar?  An immediate hit would perhaps be better.  He had less time to prepare against repercussions if he chose that route.  Speed is of the essence in a war, and Issic had declared war.
He hated to leave Alisander at this time.  His work on Lord Nadam was beginning to pay off, and he had managed to intercept another message to Itsitlawikanah.  If he left, perhaps a message would get through.
Then he had a thought.  Almost the day Alexander left the city, a horrible plague broke out.  The people were crying out to Athena for aid, yet they continued to die.  Alexander's disciples were powerless against this plague.  Lord Nadam was going to send an envoy to Talishar to ask for the return of Lord Alexander to help with the plague.  Perhaps he could join that retinue.  Or perhaps wait for Issic's return to Alisander, for he did not think Alexander would return here without his strongest protector.  Ordiss Ool chuckled.

October 15 - The Nashville 2 game nearly had a "walking adventure", however, they did manage to acquire some dragon-slaying swords to help them fight the black dragon that holds the Keys Roland seeks.

October 10 - We had an amazing live Saturday game on the 5th, wherein we completed Part II of the Razing of Redshore.  It is a long one; after all, we played until 3 a.m.
In the city of Redshore, Ordiss Ool helped Amyrella down from the rafters where the elves had left her.  Ordiss was not pleased.  Leaving Alisander right now was not convenient for him.
"Who did this?" Ordiss hissed at her once she was down.  He felt like breaking her neck right then and there and eating her heart.
"She said her name was Neria.  I did not recognize the others."
            "Others?  Who are they?"
            "I don't know."
"Find out!"  Ordiss reviewed the information again.  Neria.  That was not good.  She was powerful and determined, and not likely to be sidetracked.  If she found out who he was and that he was involved, that would lead her straight to Alisander.   Lord Nadam was nearly broken.  He had taken blood last week, and had sequestered himself away.  He didn't want that plan disturbed.  And what if she found out about Lord Xathurst and the Forbidden Castle?  What if they knew of his plan to steal Grindill's power?  Grindill was dead, but his power still existed.  He couldn't stay.  "Join your brother at the Coral Citadel.  Do not return to Redshore.  Leave six assassins here.  Have Garrison Scrimm use the assassins to kill Neria and whoever is with her."

October 6 - Updated Lord Guardian Thó'ef Sharpshooter to indicate the changes brought about by the Artifact he bathed in during part II of The Razing of Redshore.  I thought he kicked butt before, but now, with a 32 Dexterity... wow.  The write up for that adventure should be available sometime this week.

September 30 - Episode 10 of Gaowyn's Hunt is available for reading, wherein they defeat the mind flayer Ghaerloth Axom, also known as the Speaker in Dreams for he conquers by invading people's dreams.

September 28 - Happy Birthday to Barbara!  As followers of the Ingaran Adventures know, Zografos the Penumbral Lord has gone solo.  Read about his adventures with the Drow in Descent into Darkness!

September 27 - Tomorrow is Barbara's (my wife) birthday.  Today, I bring you a very short adventure - the Fifth Episode of the Odhirran Adventures, played online.  Zethar the Druid, Bwlch the Ranger, and Willem the Doppelganger continue their exploration of the Wizard's Keep.
I also updated the Chronology of the Campaigns.

September 25 - Alexander, Issic, and crew have a few murders to solve.  Can they do it?  The 40th episode of the Ingaran Adventures is now available in Current Adventures in Inzeladun.  Read Darkness Comes to Talishar.

September 23 - We recently held a Saturday live game that featured Neria and several other characters.  Toward the end, Roland was brought into the game.  Read now about The Razing of Redshore, Part I.
Neria and Thó'ef looked through the papers, for they could read the Drychtnothian the papers were written in, although all present could tell many of the sheaves of paper were floor plans.  There were floor plans for a walking castle built by Grindill, for the Palace of Alisander , for Castle Anhartz, for Itsitlawikanah, for the Forbidden Castle of King Garmund of Corinthia, and thousands of other places.  There were also piles of papers detailing the lives of some of the most notable and powerful people of Inzeladun.  Neria found a page detailing her and her present location in the Kargon Mountains (and a map of her castle).   She also found a paper about Thó'ef.  They found papers detailing the lives of a group of people named Roland, Phoebe, Spaulding, and Joriku.  They found papers about Alexander and Issic.  They found an interesting document on Anathek Dar.  She also found a document on Flower.  Neria was not too happy about that, although she was pleased to note that whoever was gathering all this intelligence lost the child in an alleyway in Alisander and didn't know her current whereabouts.  Neria found documentation on Elah, Sha'a, Lady Indicitus of Ingara, Tomodachi, Isaxar the Vile, Lord Nadam, Samadhi, and a host of others.  She shook her head in wonder.  What was up with this?

September 22 - The most recent Ingaran Adventure is ready!  The group is splitting up, and leaving Alisander - just as soon as Larbius can be dealt with.  And what is Ordiss Ool up to now?
Ordiss Ool stalked the corridors of the palace, still outraged at Issic's affront.  "Time," he hissed, "Time will be key."  He wondered if he should hit Issic himself, or let his organization, the Shadow Shoal, take care of the half dragon.  He opened the door to his own suite of rooms.  The décor was Spartan, at best.  Ordiss Ool didn't care much for decoration.  He liked to keep it simple.  A ring of coral hung over a modest bed, and a mirror hung on the wall adjacent.  Other than that, there was nothing on his walls.  No tapestries, no paintings.  A shadow cast by nothing darkened one of the walls.  Ordiss Ool motioned, and the shadow moved toward him, taking on a humanoid semblance.  Ordiss Ool said, "Return to Redshore.  I want whatever information Aaron Kientai has on Issic."
Ordiss Ool decided he would take care of it personally.

September 21 - Jake Saunders (Ender the Elder, Alexander) has created a new feat!

Second Soul [Psionic]

You can produce two mind blades at once
Prerequisite:
Ambidexterity, Two Weapon fighting, Mind blade class ability
Benefit: You are so experienced using both hands when fighting that when you create a mind blade a second is formed without any extra effort. The second mind blade forms in your off hand. Any feats, class abilities or spells that affect the one mind blade apply to the other as well. However powers imbedded into the mind blade can only be triggered only once and only effect the target once.

September 18th - A new map!  Here we have a Map of Andarland, as well as the realm description of Andarland.

September 17th - Updated the current adventures with the latest game of the Nashville II group - this time guest-DMed by Bob Probst.

September 16th - Another map!  Despite a disappointing lack of comments on the last one, I have decided to forge ahead unabated, and today I present to you the Map of the Desert of Yam ibn Saud, as well as the Realm Description of The Desert of Yam ibn Saud, a storehouse of relics that predate the Cataclysm... if anyone could find them!

September 13th - Today, Friday the 13th, I am pleased to offer up a new map!  This one is the first one created on my new computer at home (the others were done on a friend's computer).  Anyway, I am pleased to present the map of Eha Ayshnekht, the Isle of Dinosaurs!  To accompany the map, I have detailed the realm of Eha Ayshnekht, Isle of Dinosaurs, where, perhaps, the third Psigate key may be located, and where the saurial race lives, fighting with the troglodytes and lizard folk as well as the omnipresent dinosaurs.  Although this location has existed for decades in my campaign world, making brief appearances now and again, it has never been shown in this much detail.  I love dinosaurs - I hope you enjoy reading about the Isle of Dinosaurs as much as I enjoyed creating it.  Please let me know what you think.

September 11- Added the write up the fourth adventure of the Odhirann Adventures to the Current Adventures in Inzeladun. Zethar the Druid and Bwlch the Ranger explore the Wizard's Keep of Dun Luzern!

September 6 - Added the write up of the third adventure of the Odhirann Adventures to the Current Adventures page.  Zethar the Druid and Bwlch the Ranger face the horrors of the Dancing Skeletons of Dun Luzern!
As the lead skeletons went up the staircase, Zethar and Bwlch danced over to Elner and grabbed him by the hands, hoping to dance him right out of the building.  He resisted, however, and tried to continue up the stairs.  Other skeletons noticed the effort, and three of them drew longswords.  Bwlch said, "I am not so sure we can take on fifty skeletons!"
Zethar slapped him and covered his mouth with his hand.  He resisted more, kicking up his feet. Zethar yelled, "Grab Elner and let's run for it!  Just lift him and run!"  Zethar and Bwlch tried to push away through the throng of dancing skeletons, but they tore the man from their grasp.  Zethar and Bwlch barely made it out through the door.  "Damn," said Zethar.

September 2 - Added Tomodachi to the Legends of Inzeladun.  See the stats for the Lord of the Tower, played by Steve Davis (AKA Issic).  I also added Tomodachi's stats as a demigod of fire magic.  I also updated Gaowyn's hunt - they encountered a mind flayer plot in the outskirts of Nyandar.  I also updated Issic's stats to reflect recent increases in character level
