The Nexus Network of Magical Focii
Certain areas of Inzeladun seem to be natural focuses for types of magic.  Rumors link the Old Ones to these spots, other rumors attribute the sources to some sort of geomantic source.  Whatever, these hot spots, called nexus, are concentrated sites of pure magic.  Spells cast in these areas are extremely potent.  Magic cast at one of these nexus is cast at two levels higher and magic resistance is reduced by 20%.  Magic cast that matches the type of concentration there are cast at 5 levels higher with magic resistence reduced by 50%.

The Nexi are:

The nexus of Elemental Fire, Elemental Cold, Elemental Earth, Elemental Lightning, Force Magic, Dimensional Magic, and Law Magic are, at this time, undiscovered.  Rumors persist that Grindill the Archmage knew where they all were and wrote the locations down in his books.  But those books are nowhere to be found.  Grindill's researches were stolen by Demi (Maggie), but, since her death, these books have not been seen.
