Nickel dragons are the weakest of the ferrous dragons.  They make up for their smaller size and lesser power with a tenacity and viciousness that would make even the boldest adventurers think twixe about wanting to face one a second time.  They are somewhat unpredictable, and could well gulp down a poor adventurer in a party, and then decide the others are not worth their time.

Nickel dragons are born with charcoal gray scales, changing to a more metallic gray as adults.  As the dragon continues to age, the metallic gray begins to show white until, as a great wyrm, no traces of the gray remain and the dragon is a bright metallic white.

Nickel dragons dwell only in swamps and marshes, preferably those that are close to or border on coastlines.  Nickel dragons often keep eggs and treasure in a cave, but actually dwell elsewhere nearby, wherever suits the dragon at that particular moment..

Combat

A nickel dragon usually tries to overwhelm its opponents through sheer unpredictability in its attacks.

Breath Weapon (Su)
: A nickel dragon has but one breath weapon: a cone of acidic vapors.

Mass Irritation (Sp): Causes an itchy rash on a number of creatures = dragons's hit dice.  This itching afflicts the subject with uncontrollable itching  The subject can take no actions for 1d6 rounds.  Armor doubles the duration.

Assume Vaporous Form (Sp): Same as the spell Gaseous Form.
