The Tollan Book
of
Tenebrionic Lore and Sorceries

This darksome tome is dedicated to the god Tenebrion and his servants, the Shadow Dragons.  This leatherbound tome is divided into six sections.

The first section teaches a hidden language - Shadowspeak.  This language will impress shadow dragons, and all shadows.  Learning Shadowspeak involves an insanity check, a will save vs DC 23.

The second section catalogues known types of living shadows and shadow magic items.

This book also outlines the rituals and powers of the legendary Shadow Knights of Tenebrion.  With this tome, one might actually be able to become one of these Shadow Lords of old.  This is in Section 3.

A non-spell caster can read the tome to cast two spells - Sunlight and Imbue Self with Shadow Sorcery.  The former will provide true sunlight in a limited area (limited to one mile diameter) at night.  The latter turns the character into a sorcerer (when he has enough exp. to move up another level) by changing his blood, imbuing the character with magic.  This is Section 4.

A sorcerer can then use the book to its full powers.  Although sorcerers generally do not learn spells from books, this book allows the sorcerer to learn new spells - shadow spells - if the proper rituals are followed.  This is Section 5.

The most valuable aspect of this book is for dragons only.  It is written in draconic, and if Read Magic, Comprehend Languages, or other translation type spells are used on this section of the book, the book will unleash a terrible curse upon the caster and all who are with him - turning them into shadowy Deep Ones.  This is Section 6.

Many shadow dragons would pay dearly for this tome, so powerful can it make them.
