PALEX AMIR
THE HOLY AVENGER

Palex Amir was created by Tyr for the paladin Yhas at the end of the Second Age.  A longsword, this powerful Holy Avenger speaks, reads magic, detects evil, and is a +5 weapon in the hands of a paladin.  (it only functions as a +2 sword for non-paladins)  It also has powers of Clairvoyance and Paralyzation.  Palex Amir  dispels hostile magic in a 5' radius at a level equal to the paladin's level.  It's primary function is to slay evil, and paralyzes Chaotic Evil opponents on a failed save.   It is the oldest known Holy Avenger in Inzeladun.  After Yhas' death, it was found by the paladin Zaibar.  Zaibar fell from grace and the sword was lost until found by a young paladin named Han Dirgon in the Fourth Age.

The weapon is perhaps best known as Han Dirgon's sword.  He wielded the weapon until his death at the end of the Seventh Age.   The sword was lost, but was found again by Raloth the Paladin of the Silver Tree.  He currently still wields the weapon.
