History: Adilbrand's Axe is a vorpal blade created by Sir Adilbrand Noblesword during the Fourth Age.  It was constructed by Morndargurr the Dwarven Smith Master.   It was magiked by Grindill the Arch Mage Sovereign.  It is a +3 battle axe with two heads.  It has a point on the end for stabbing.  It's power is great, however, for a high attack roll will sever the opponent's head/neck. Any attack roll of 17 or higher will suffice.

This weapon was used by Adilbrand for decades, and, while he was in suspended animation within the Tower of Magic, rested alongside him for centuries.  Although the weapon is not intelligent, it did bond with the black armored Indorian cavalier and grafted some of his personality onto it.  Characters wielding this weapon will be compelled to curse in Indorian and follow rules of chivalry.

Current Whereabouts: It is currently being wielded by the knight Aethelric.  A 15th level Cavalier, Aethelric is noted for his chivalry and bravery.  He fights with the Axe of Adilbrand, which he was given at Adilbrand's death six years ago.  He was Adilbrand's second in command for five years prior to that.  He has always been loyal to the kings of Indor and to the Order of the Three Hundred.  He, like the Three Hundred, dresses in black field plate armor and wears the coat of arms common to that group.
