Excerpts from The
Nan Curinir
"The One shall find Another One and will help him win the Tower and then death to Inzeladun should Chaos not grant its wild power." (Page 2343 from the Tower Version...Page 902 from the Unexpirgated Indorian Revision)
"The One shall resurrect the Four to then destroy all Inzeladun. Only with ancient forgotten lore can defilers save all creation." (Page 2343 from the Tower Version. Page 1012 from the Drychtnothian Recension. Page 902 from the Unexpirgated Indorian Revision. Not included in the Ophyrish Text or Gnomish Translation)
"The awesome Dragon Kings shall rise when the armies of War's Son win. Traditional order they despise and destruction they shall bring men.
"With Magic and Mentalism Dragons will then be mortal men's Masters. The One shall support the Dragons; the world suffer their disasters. (Page 2344 from the Tower Version...Page 903 from the Unexpirgated Indorian Revision).
"Those whose Magic is from the life can halt the Rise of the Dragon Kings. From their harsh hands shall spring the knife that will kill their mad Dragon dreams." (Page 2345 from the Tower Version....Page 903 from the Unexpirgated Indorian Revision)
"The One will be made to be weak if the Magic Source is disrupted and the Tower for Chaos seek and Lords made to be disgusted. (Page 2344 from the Tower Version... Not included in the Indorian Revision..See the Gnomish Translation for an interesting version)
Excerpt from Warnings and Portents by Roneg, Lord of the Tower
"The first of the Dragons will be an escaped captive of the elves. Several of Yam ibn Saud's generals will become dragons. True dragons will die out. This will happen shortly after the Defeat of the Thing in the Tower by the Other, or, as some say, Another. Some parts of the future are very vague to me, but I see the Tower becoming a Thing of Evil. After this, the Tower must be destroyed by the One or the world will surely die. I'm not sure how this happens or even when or in what future age, but I feel quite certain it will. I have no proof, but the Other, I am certain, will promote this change. The Other is a blood relative of the One. Both are certainly going to be power-mad and both hold the power of the Angustians untainted within their essences."
Excerpt from The Journeys in Time by Edirn the Chronomage
"Grindill's complete mastery of magic and the Tower's inability to surprise the demi-god was the two most contributing factors that lead to the destruction of the Tower. Grindill and the Four Old Ones he resurrected overran Inzeladun, destroying the Emperor and devestating all of Inzeladun. The forests of Nyandar are gone. The Lamapachan plains are gone. The beautiful lands of Indor are gone. All of it is gone. Everything is desert. The Dragon Kings rule the lands. Magic is forbidden except for the few chosen by Grindill. Most of mankind live as slaves. The world is dead." (Chapter 10, detailing the end of the Seventh Year of the Eighth Age)
Excerpt from Yam ibn Saud and Grindill: The Death of Inzeladun by Merchavisx the Arch-Chronomage
"After he instituted the Registry of Mages, Yam ibn Saud systematically destroyed all known Red Robes and other 'defilers'. Our Lord, Merandius, warned them, but no one listened. Was Merandius right? I don't know." (Page 78)
"I see a future where the prophesied One surprised and defeated the Tower. If I only knew how that could have been avoided." (Page 90)
Excerpts from The Book of Groll by Groll the Chronomancer
"It is obvious that Grindill supported the Dragon Kings. From the Seventh Year until the Ninth Age Inzeladun will be ruled by the Dragon Kings. I believe the Red Robes were more important than anyone realized. I believe that they could have stopped the Four Old Ones that destroyed Inzeladun. The destruction of Sprakxorclerat must be prevented, even though the blast destroyed Thigru Thorkisen. I believe that even his evil would have been better for Inzeladun than the death of the Teachers." - Page 99
"The Eighth Age will last a thousand years, a millenium of Dragon Kings. The Ninth Age will see their overthrow, but a Khemian lich named Kherit will rise and Inzeladun will again enter into a dark era. There will be no Tenth Age." (last paragraph of the 99th page)
Excerpts from The Refutation of Groll by Holt
"Of course, the Future is hard to pen down. As a wise clairvoyant once said, 'Difficult to see...Always in motion is the Future'. But the future I visited was not nearly as bleak as most have seen. The Knowledge was retrieved and Isaxor himself helped to defeat the Four Old Ones. Yam ibn Saud ushered in a period of peace and prosperity." (Page 1)
"After the Tower was rescued from Pazuzu's machinations by Lord Tomodachi, Grindill was easily defeated in the summer of the Seventh Year, Eighth Age." (Page 3)
"After the overthrow of the One, the Dragon Wars began." (Page 4)
"Even after the Source of Magic returned, no one was able to cast 'Tower Magic' (as the One called it). Whether that was the Tower's Choice or Tomodachi's, I don't know, but the Tower most certainly wasn't evil, as the gnomes predict or as Roneg warned." (Page 6)
Excerpt from the Nan Curinir (Gnomish Translation)
"The One will be seriously weakened if the Source of Magic, The Tower, was to leave Inzeladun between the Fourth and Seventh years of the Eighth Age. The Tower will seek to learn Chaos and Wildness and will learn to surprise the One, but this is unlikely to happen. Only the Fiends and the Archons and the Dieties above them have the power to move the Tower and if they gained the Source, The Tower would become Evil."
Excerpt from Biography of Tomodachi: The Other by Samahdi, Lord of the Tower
"Tomodachi, reacting to a trap from Pazuzu but believing he acted in the Tower's best interests, met his Fate in the Abyss, where he was destroyed." (Page 113)
"Pazuzu took the Tower and defeated Grindill, but was severely drained in doing so. It was a simple matter for the Twilight Gathering to destroy that foul demon and assume control of the Tower. Tomodachi's sacrifice lead directly to our being able to attain our goal of destroying all the Undead. I hereby posthumously decree that Tomodachi be considered one of the Twilight." (Page 120)
Excerpt from A Vision of the Future by Erzhay
"After the Tower gained the potentialities of Chaos from the Outer Planes, it seemed to be so much more than it had been; more powerful, more beautiful, more magnificent. Even Tomodachi was greater than before. Indeed, he was the greatest of the Lords" (Page 6)
