"Leaning against one of the statues he was surprised to see a female elf.  She was beautiful.  Dressed in a long gown that somehow managed to convey a natural sense of beauty instead of an artificial one, she smiled at the cleric.  Her strange eyes twinkled in the torchlight, for the hall had no windows.  Her alien gaze made Alexander feel naked.  Even his long association with Flower hadn't desensitized the uncomfortable feelings that came with those ancient eyes.  The name Yithilla came to mind.  He remembered hearing that an elf named Yithilla did actually live in the palace, an emissary of that fearsome figure known only as Neria Bladesinger.  Alexander figured the elf must be that emissary.
Yithilla sat down in one of the chairs, doing it in an amazingly beautiful and graceful manner.  Alexander unintentionally looked at her strange eyes.  He felt as if her were drowning beneath an infinite sea of blue.  He thought that all of his essence, his soul, had been elongated to an immense distance, where the outlying parts of himself could almost hear the fabled music of the spheres.  A warmth stole over him, and he became aware of an unidentifiable color with which in some way the sense of ardent warmth was associated.  He blinked and looked away from her eyes.  Yithilla smiled.

Music holds great power, and Yithilla knows how to tap into this potential.  Her music is magical, more flexible than the spells of sorcerers or wizards.  A wanderer, she appreciates creativity, freedom, and individuality.  She believes the world was created with a single, perfect note, and that she can draw upon that hidden power as a source of true eldritch might.

She began her adventuring career as an archeologist examining Angustian ruins near Silvergate with a group of bards led by Redmund Rathwyn of Silvergate.  When they discovered that song could suspend the horrors of whatever haunts the remains of Angust, they found themselves being hunted down by agents of Grindill.  The group split up for protection.

Yithilla found she had a harder time remaining hidden than her human companions because she was an elf.  She found haven at Castle Darksword, and served as the court bard for Xanath Darksword.  She kept to herself, largely, associating mostly with Lacjasu Rual Erala, Sha'a, and Githoniel.  She and Klia, a psion who worked as Xanath's Lord High Inquisitor, did not get along at all.  To this day, Yithilla holds a prejudice against psions because of Klia.

When Castle Darksword finally was abandoned (Xanath left for the unknown lands to an unknown fate, and history does not record Githoniel's fate), Yithilla found herself outcast again.  She then encountered Demi, who was founding Atman Tor at that time.  Together, the pair of them really discovered the power of song, for Atman Tor was revealed by Yithilla to be a Nexus of Song magic.  Yithilla became a Song Mage at this time.  She studied at Atman Tor until it was destroyed by Yam ibn Saud and Kherit.  She is the only known survivor of the catastrophe that occurred there.

She then sought haven at Neria's castle in the Kargan Mountains of Drychtnoth.  More open minded about humans than Neria, Yithilla was made to be Neria's diplomat to the court of Lord Nadam I in Alisander.  She has lived at Alisander ever since. (Below is a painting of Yithilla by Zografos)

Combat
Yithilla fights with an Angustian staff she found in some ruins if she finds herself in melee.  She prefers to do combat with spells at a distance, however.

Spellsongs: Yithilla can cast arcane spellsongs.  Spellnotes are quick, single notes of magical song that can be cast as move-equivalent actions.  Spellchords, cast as standard actions,  are more complex spellsongs, involving a drawn out combination of notes.  Spellmelodies are the most complex spellsongs and take a full round to cast.
Spellnotes (18 per day): Burst of Speed, Countersong, Deflect Blow, Destroy with Sound, Influence, Inspire Courage, Minor Healing, Momentary Charm, Quiet Movement, Stun
Spellchords (12 per day): Counter silence, Charm, Fascinate, Enhance Physical Form, Recall Tale, Slumber, Inspire Competence
Spell Melodies (7 per day): Destroy Utterly With Sound, Disrupt Body, Remove Condition, Soothe the Savage Beast

Weave Notes: Yithilla can expend two spellnote slots to cast a single spellnote with enhancements (see page 7 of Book of Eldritch Might II: Songs and Souls of Power)

Song Magic: Yithilla can choose to devote particular power into any of her spellsongs 3 times per day.

Song as Sustenance (Su): Yithilla no longer needs to eat or drink for the power of song alone sustains her.

Song Shield (Su): Yithilla can create a shield of sonic energy, similar to a shield spell.

Divine Music (Sp): Tapping into the "music of the spheres", Yithilla can cast Locate Object as a spell like ability (at 10th caster level) once per day.

Songburst (Su): Yithilla can infuse a damage-inflicting spellsong with extra power, doing +1d6 points of sonic damage.

Noble Music (Ex): The inherent power of Yithilla, coupled with the elegance of her talent, causes people to see her as a being of nobility and purpose, worthy of respect. This gives her bonuses to several skills.

Sonic Protection (Su): Yithilla has sonic damage resistance of 16.

Forbid the Silence (Sp): Yithilla can automatically dispel areas of magical silence, up to a 100 foot radius, as a standard action.

Wings of Song (Sp): Yithilla can create wings of song for herself, functioning as a fly spell (10th level caster).

Clarity of Music (Sp): Yithilla, having achieved the highest level of devotion to the power of music, can call upon a creature known as a clarity (elder air elemental).  She can summon or call one once per week.

Songs of Power Memorized (taught to her by Demi)
Geas/Quest, Chain Lightning (15d6 damage primary), Scry

Magic Items
+2 Staff of Sure Striking –
Angustian weapon that harms creatures with damage reduction as if it had a +5 enhancement bonus.
