Once, there was a time when the great heroes slept, and in their passing, the land grew bleak and dire.  Ice moved to devour the world and drink the oceans.  There are no writings that tell of the times that followed, and the lays of the minstrels are few and broken.  There are no runes, no stones, no pages that will reveal the history of the forgotten times.  But I, Yrminthingle, son of Thingle, know.  Through some device of fate, I alone have been allowed to hear the whisperings of the bones of those mighty and forgotten men that yawned from the deeps of the world when the ice drew back and the new Age began.  So, hear me, and hear me well, for now I shall endeavor to tell you of the lost times, of the lost heroes, of the age that was no Age--- the Age of between...  ~ The Chronicles of Sataan the Yeti Warrior

Sataan is a young barbarian from the lands of Tarkania during the Ice Age that followed the Cataclysm of the Fourth Age.  After meeting a young psychic warrior named Neyda the Kermute, Sataan slew three bugbears.  After his rage ended, his wounds caused his unconsciousness. He was rescued by Finuke, who took Sataan and Neyda (who was mortally wounded by the bugbears) to the shaman of Sozluk, Hramir.  Hramir saved Sataan and Neyda and introduced the pair to Chief Sozluk.  Sataan felt he owed a debt to Chief Sozluk and asked for a chore to do.  Chief Sozluk mentioned that a rival chief, named Sindren, was building a powerful forge.  Sozluk wanted Sindren's forge destroyed.  Sataan of Tarkania agreed to destroy this forge.  Neyda went with him, as did Finuke.
The second day out, the trio encountered a giant, and snuck around him.  They then came upon the encampment of Chief Sindren.  Sataan decided to hunt some wolves to scare the cattle of Sindren.  Finuke felt he could befriend a wolf, which was soon accomplished.  The wolf scared off the cattle, and many men of Sindren went off.  The trio snuck around toward the forge and attacked after setting off a tripwire alarm.
During the melee, Sataan of Tarkania killed the evil shaman of Chief Sindren, and then killed Chief Sindren.  Sataan destroyed the forge and returned to Chief Sozluk.  He gave the chief some tools and weapons, as well as the heads of Sindren and his shaman.
