Demi was one of the only golem mages to exist in Inzeladun's history, a mostly reclusive mage that had little to do with the outside world.  She founded Atman Tor, a refuge for female mages, but any other activities she might have been involved with are sketchy in detail.  It is known that she arrived in Inzeladun from another plane of existence and is rumored to have been of Angustian heritage.  Though the histories are somewhat fuzzy on the details of the war for Shindo, it is rumored by some scholars that a young girl named Maggie, brought into the world by Lord Killren and the knights of the Three Hundred, became an enemy to Thigru Thorkisen due to her involvement with the war for Shindo.  This girl is presumed to have later fled northern Inzeladun, due to a prophecy that foretold a betrayal by one close to her.  She took the name Demi, after the legends of the Demimage that circulated around the time of the war for Shindo, and years later surfaced again with the notorious Yam ibn Saud.  Fate is fickle, and by avoiding it, we meet it, and so it was with Demi.  By fleeing to the south, she met the instrument of her undoing.  Yam ibn Saud, convinced by the whisperings of Demi's old enemy, Thigru, sent his dread mage to assassinate her and steal her power.  Demi's death marked the beginning Yam ibn Saud's march northward and marked also the beginnings of the slaying of the remaining Guardians of the Silver Tree.

Combat
Demi prefers not to fight, although she will if pressed, and will often cast Blur if she has a chance to prepare, giving her a 20% miss protection from blows.  She prefers to command her golems to defend her while she stands in the back and casts her spells.  She is rumored to have been the first person to successfully assassinate one of the Council of Warlords.

History of Demi

Demi was born on a different world than Inzeladun.  She arrived on Inzeladun during the tempestuous 6th Age.
During the course of undocumented adventures, at 4th level, Demi found herself in Ara'bya.  She met Yam ibn Saud and became his cohort.  Later, she left Yam ibn Saud and founded Atman Tor, a haven for female arcane spellcasters.  On Yam ibn Saud's orders, Atman Tor was attacked and destroyed by the lich Kherit.  Her body was beheaded by Kherit the Lich, and her head was presented to Yam ibn Saud on a spear.
