Vega the Half Elf

The glories of our blood and state
Are shadows, not substantial things;
There is no armour against Fate;
Death lays his icy hand on kings:

Sceptre and Crown
Must tumble down,
And in the dust be equal made
With the poor crookèd scythe and spade.*

This is a character I am going to get to play in Dennis Niemoeller's campaign.  I am totally looking forward to this.  I really got inside her while drawing this portrait.  I hope this adoration and fascination I have for this character shows in the drawing.  I went through about thirty different tattoo designs that I discarded before I decided to just take a shower at 2 in the morning, turn out all the lights (my bathroom is pitch black in this situation), and just become the character.  I stepped out of the shower and drew the design you see above.

The character was designed by Dennis for use as an NPC, but he has allowed me to play her as a PC.
