Conan is now King of Aquilonia, the mightiest empire of the Hyborian Age, but time has done that which no combination of foes had been able to do.  The Cimmerian's skin became wrinkled and his hair gray; old wounds ached in damp weather.  Then catastrophe shattered King Conan's life.  Supernatural entities began seizing and carrying off his subjects.  And so Conan abdicated the throne to his son, Prince Conn, and set out across the Western Ocean, as told to do in a dream by Epimitreus.

Combat
Conan's fighting style has gained his well known deadliness at this period of time.  His great strength and quick reflexes means that many fights are over before his adversary even gets to swing.  Great Cleave allows him to wade through lesser warriors, crushing them left and right.  Dire Charge allows Conan to do a full attack when he charges.  Conan can use Power Attack to shift up to +20 of his attack bonus into damage, thus allowing him to do 40+ points of damage in a single sword blow without any magic involved (80+
on a critical hit).

Mighty Rage: Seven times per day, Conan can go into a rage and increase his Strength and Constitution by +8, and gains a +4 morale bonus to Will saves.  He suffers a -2 penalty to AC.  His rage lasts twelve rounds and Conan suffers no penalties after his rage is over.

Fast movement: Conan's speed is increased by +10 feet when wearing no armor, light armor, and medium armor.

Uncanny Dodge: Conan retains his dexterity bonus to his AC even when caught flatfooted or surprised.  He can sense danger before it even becomes apparent. Conan at this point cannot be flanked except by rogues of level 29 and above. He saves at +6 vs. traps.

Damage Reduction 5/-: Conan gains the extraordinary ability to shrug off some amount of injury from each blow or attack.

Tom Plunkett's comments about his version of the character: "I'm not a big fan of multi-classing.  I used the skill points to give him his "Thief" Flavor.  I used feats to give him his "Warrior" flavor.  At level 25, Conan qualifies for the Legendary Dreadnought Epic Prestige
Class, so future levels would come out of that prestige class (since both the Barbarian class and that prestige class are based on the Conan novels)."

My comments: This is an excellent version of Conan.  Although I think the Barbarian class has as much to do with Fafhrd, Wolverine, and various berserker Viking characters portrayed in books and films than just Conan, I think making Conan a straight Barbarian character works.  He gave the character a great selection of feats.
